Helping others comes naturally to me. I have over 22 years of counselling and social work experience. Some of my past professional experience includes: counseling young women in recovery, providing trauma therapy to vulnerable clients at a community health center, and counselling and case management services for at-risk clients in social housing. I also spent 3 year working in Southern Africa on several different community development projects. I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals from around the world who are facing a variety of mental health issues and challenging life circumstances. Also I am proud to say my mother was also successful a therapist, so therapy may be in my DNA.

I see clients from across the life span and most of my clients are professionals, artists, as well as students. Ultimately though, I am comfortable working with people with all sorts of different issues, diagnoses, backgrounds and life experience.

I hold a Master of Social Work Degree with a specialization in Health and Mental Health from the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Toronto Metropolitan University. My practice is informed by the exceptional training I received at Women’s College Hospital. In addition, I have specialized training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which is a body-centered approach that aims to treat the somatic symptoms of unresolved trauma. I have also completed training in: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, talk and mindfulness based therapies, Sound Therapy, and Restorative Yoga. I am part of the team at, Inspired Wellness (https://www.inspiredwellnessclinic.com). I also have my own office and sound studio.

I also supervise social work and psychotherapy students and offer support to colleagues who are just opening their practice.

In addition, I am a certified Sound Therapy Practitioner and create private sound bath meditation experiences for my clients using quartz crystal bowls and various other sound healing instruments. I am also the co-founder of Sound Reponses Wellness which offers interactive online and in-person Sound-Based Stress Reduction™ workshops and sound bath experiences. These sessions combine mental health education, stress reduction techniques and sound therapy to empower individuals and groups to manage their everyday stress. I co-authored a workshop series called the, “Healing Power of Sound” for Sound Response Wellness in which participants learn: how stress impacts mood and body, the importance of boundaries, the role of self-compassion, as well as simple techniques for reducing stress and lower anxiety. In my spare time, I play with a Sound Healing band called, “The SoundBody Collective” who host monthly sound baths. I also sing in a band and love to connect with others through the power of sound and music
